Kakuma Guest House (Kakuma Campus)

This guest house provides accommodation to visitors or visiting scholars at Kanazawa University.

Outline of Facilities

1. Number of rooms: 12 Western style rooms (2 twins, 10 singles), 2 Japanese style rooms

2. Room Charge (per night):
Western style room (twin) : 3,500yen for single occupancy, 5,200yen for
double occupancy
Western style room (single) : 2 ,900yen
Japanese style room : 3,800yen for single occupancy, 5,600yen for double
and 7,500yen for triple

Breakfast (600yen) and other expenses, such as telephone charge are not
included in the above prices.

How to make a reservation

1. Check room availability through the Accounting Division by phone
(076-264-5067).

2. Submit the designated application form to the Accounting Division to
complete a room reservation.

University staff members, such as the professor who accepts you or does a
project with you, may apply for accommodation on ypur behalf. In this
case, the procedures 1,2 may be performed through the General Affairs
section of each faculty.

Charges and fees must be paid by 3 p.m. the day before your arrival.
Please notice that they are non-refundable even if you cancel the
reservation.

How long can I stay?
12 nights or less

Private Accommodations

1. “Weekly [Monthly] Mansions”- Private furnished/unfurnished apartments

This type of accommodation is suitable for short-term stays, as most of
the rooms come fully equipped. They can be rented for as short a period
as a single night. It is advisable to book at least three days in advance.
Prices start at about 4,500 yen per night, and get progressively cheaper
on a per-night basis the longer you stay. Details are available at local
real estate companies.

2. Hotels

Most of hotels in Kanazawa are located around Kanazawa Station or
downtown and there are no hotels near the campus. Room rates vary from about
5,000 yen to 9,000 yen for single rooms, and 8,000 yen to 15,000 for
twin rooms.
For getting to University campuses from Kanazawa Station or the downtown
area, buses and taxis are available.
